WebDec 18, 2024 · Incoterms refer to a set of globally recognized trade terms that clarify the obligations of buyers and sellers. They are published by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC)to facilitate international trading. The diagram above shows the buyer’s scope of responsibility across a shipping process under the EXW terms or FOB terms. WebThe Incoterms rules are by design independent of all legal systems – trading partners agree to incorporate a rule into their commercial agreements. However the UCC provisions must be adopted by each US state or territory. In 2004, the situation was confused by publication of a major revision of UCC, abolishing many of these terms.
