WebDec 26, 2016 · After some research and talking to some locals, I found that this still was where Dan Call and Nearest Green made whiskey before a young Jack Daniel ran away from home & moved in with the Call's. On his farm, Call had a whiskey still that quickly drew Jack's interest. It was here that Call introduced the young Jack Daniel to Nathan "Nearest" Green.
